Mint Gift adds "This order is a gift" to your cart, with a gift message and gift wrap. The details land on the order, gift wrap is a real line item with your price, and you can print a gift receipt without prices from the order.
Gifting that fits your cart
Switch it on in your theme editor; customers choose their gift options right above the checkout button.
Turn on the app embed and “This order is a gift” appears above your checkout button, in the drawer and on the cart page — or place a block exactly where you want it. Labelled, keyboard-friendly controls; texts and colour set in your theme editor.
Customers see how many characters are left. The limit is checked again at checkout, and the message is saved as plain text on the order under Additional details.
Offer up to 8 wraps, each with a picture and price. The wrap is added to the order as its own item, so taxes, discounts, refunds and packing slips handle it like any other product — in the shopper's currency.
Quantity buttons, removed items, other apps: the cart is kept consistent — never two wraps, never a wrap on its own, never a wrap without “This order is a gift”. Checkout enforces the same rules.
Print a gift receipt from any order, or for up to 50 selected orders at once: items, quantities and the gift message, no prices. Orders are read when you print; nothing is stored.
Show gift options only when the cart has chosen products, product types or tags — or for everything except them. Digital items can be left out.

Questions merchants ask
Where do I see the gift message and gift wrap?
On the order in Shopify under Additional details (Gift, Gift message, Gift wrap). Gift wrap is also a line item, so it's on the packing slip with the other items. The support page has a short snippet if you'd like the gift message printed on Shopify's packing slip too.
How is gift wrap added and charged?
The app keeps one “Gift wrap” product in your store with one variant per wrap option, at the prices you set. It's unlisted (not in collections, search or recommendations), hidden from search engines and never sells out. When a customer chooses a wrap, one unit is added to the cart — once per order.
Can someone buy gift wrap on its own?
No. Mint Gift's checkout rule stops gift wrap bought on its own, more than once, or without “This order is a gift”, and the cart removes such a wrap as soon as it's shown.
Does Buy it now include gift options?
No. Gift options are chosen in the cart, and Buy it now goes straight to checkout, so those orders have no gift details. Customers who want gift options add the item to the cart first.
Does it work with my theme?
It's built and tested against Horizon and Dawn, including their cart drawers. On other themes the app embed places itself above the cart's checkout button; if it doesn't appear, the embed has a setting to choose where, or add the Gift options block to your cart page.
Will it leave code in my theme?
No. It uses a theme app extension only — nothing is written into your theme files. If you uninstall, delete the gift wrap product first (one click on the Gift wrap page), because products stay in your store.
